I hate having friends. I don't hate my friends, I just don't like having to have them. But I did come to some realizations about relationships this summer. I just can't get out of the funk of being the-insecure-friend. In real life or in my head. I don't know. And this whole girly-pursuit I am involved in doesn't help. I've never walked on so many eggshells. I really like this girl and I am trying to be careful with her. I'd like to see if I can get something of a lasting relationship with her. But right now I feel like I am just some guy to her. whatever

Whatever. I blame it on the moon.

You probably know you aren't supposed to walk on eggshells. Being sensitive to other people and not rushing in to judge them is nice but you get be yourself too. Everybody is supposed to be free to be whoever they are and if they have social problems, to work them out. If they are lucky to have someone with them, great. But if they do not they have to take care of it themselves.

Believe me, you will not be happy if you pretzel around someone else's fickleness. Just stay calm and take it from there.
