So today in Astronomy I stumped the professor. We were reviewing for the test we have on Tuesday. It was all about stars and their lifespans and stages and H-R Diagrams and all that business.

Anyway after class I ask him about a presentationwe watched about the life of our sun and the perspective from Earth. The planet went through a hot magma phase and then it went through an ice age. But this is all under the impression that the Earth is within the same orbit. When a star goes through the last bit of its life, it losses mass. Slowly but surely.

So my question was this: Wouldn't the loss of mass in the sun alter the gravitational pull it had on Earth? And wouldn't its orbit widen, therefore not engulfing itself in the sun's red giant phase?

He had no idea. I am gonna email an Astronomy magazine.

Sitting there, high as I was, I had a realization. These solar winds, and their effect on the Earth magnetic field are so much more than we suspect. The poles switch, I repeat, SWITCH, every 11 years, but then he said it could be every 22 years. Now if you know anything about Numerology, that's huge. At least to me it is. I am intrigued and now I am ready to research the shit out of this.

btw, does anyone know anything about the orbit of Venus? I read somewhere that if you trace its position over a certain amount of time (a year and a half I think) it makes a Pentagram. I want to know if this is valid or not, cause Venus is the Morning Star aka Lucifer, the fallen angel. Weird.

ps- I got my computer biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin . I loves it. Once I get the file size down, I will post a pic of my desktop and specs.

My and Lenox are shooting on Saturday biggrin . Such a good weekend (hopefully)
