Driving home I stopped at the deli across the street to grab a six pack, have a cold draft beer, and see what those guys are up to. We shoot the shit for a bit ... sports, the war, general talk ....

I come out after about a half hour to my locked and completely closed up car -- it's like 40 degrees outside ... springtime, my ass. I climb in and all I can smell is popcorn. Strong smell of popcorn ... like movie theater strong.

Huh? Popcorn? I don't believe I've ever even had popcorn in my car, let alone recently. My car should most probably smell of cigarette smoke after the Florida drive, or of spilled beer from yesterday's foray to the Phillies home opener. Popcorn?

I pulled up in front of my apartment and got out of the car ... everything just smelled like winter, with a fireplace burning somewhere nearby. I poke my head back in the car to grab the beer, and the car still reeks of popcorn. After coming into my apartment, I smell the brown paper bag containing the six pack. It smells like a brown paper bag.

What the fuck?
That is just fucking weird.
I'm fighting the urge to go back out and have a whiff of my car.
