I need some advice...

I'm not sure how many of you know the nitty gritty of my last relationship, but as a result of everything that happened in those 5 yrs. I've become rather withdrawn. Dont get me wrong, I've always been shy... But I've never been this bad.

And even though I'm going to be moving within a month or so, and I'll be able to leave my past behind me. That doesn't change the fact that I'll need to meet people, outside of my cousins and their circles. Because no offense to them, but I dont exactly fit in with their crowds. And I'm not exactly sure how to do this anymore... It takes forever for me to warm up to new people now, I'm rarely ever able to muster up the courage to approach people and try to make conversation, and my self-confidence is shot to all hell....

So I guess my question is how do I go about meeting people?? I know it can be easier when you have people to go out with in the first place, you can go out and play pool or whatever... But what about those moments when your alone and wanna go out, I know I wouldn't be able to go somewhere and sit alone hoping someone approaches me... Like I said my self-confidence is shot, so I'd expect to sit alone for quite awhile. I just dont know what to do anymore...

I'd really just appreciate any advice I can get... I'll take anything at the moment, because I'm lost.

Tulsa, OK...a love/hate relationship...but there are worse places to live. Unfortunately, it's been so long since I lived there, that I don't know what it's like anymore. I spent my formative (read...drinking) years in Norman attending OU. So, yeah...Tulsa, it's like Dallas, but smaller and less to do, although there are some fine things to find there like the Art Deco buildings, the museums, good stuff at that.
