Living in Lake Tahoe all my life, I always had to deal with summer fires. Tahoe has had smoke from fires that took over the skies almost every year that came from fires around my town.
This time, things are different.
The recent wildfire, The Caldor Fire, is threatening my town in a lot of ways. The fire is creeping closer every day and itβs scary thinking that the fire is so close for comfort. But the worst is the smoke.
The smoke has gotten to the point where we have the worst air quality in the world.
Businesses are struggling, and recently I lost my side hustle as an artist for both my photography and my paint and sip. The fire is affecting everything in my town, itβs terrifying.
