awake at 3:30 in the am, lighting up another cigarette. tried to drowned myself in the pages of my latest copeland soft cover. reading, trying to doff my real life and bring into existence this work of fiction that has captivated me.
however tonight as i lay reading, the words become just words.....not bringing me into my land of sleepy content and fairy tale dreams.
sleep has never came easy to me. i remember being a little girl and wide awake at 2am watching "i love lucy" episodes on nick at night until my eyes would on their own close.
i know there are those people who can lay their head down and slumber with such ease never giving a second thought to the world around them. i envy them in a way.
even now as my family rest in their beds i have this strong urge to wake them, to ask them the secret of finding this easy black-out mode which to me seems so very unattainable.
ahh...but instead i will light another cigarette, flip on the tv and try to ignore the clock that keeps screaming at me as the hours pass.
with this i will say g'night my dear friends...i do hope sleep is finding you and that you are resting your sweet heads with peace.

ahhh yes that was nice to read..it actually almost put me to sleep it was so nice..maybe if you read you own writing you can have better luck sleeping
