oh man, if I could explain the craziness that has been the last two days in perfect detail... I would.. but unfortunately, its wayy too much for me to decipher. lol, all I know is, the last two days have been AMAZING. I love three day weekends. I know it's only sunday, so the three day weekend hasn't even came into effect, but I feel like it's something about just knowing you have that extra day to rest that gives you permission to party extra hard for the weekend...
anywayy...
Friday was fun, I went a tree sit protest thats going on at my school...
See, my school was built on lush, beautiful redwood forest, and now the University is trying to tear the forest down to expand the school and let in a couple thousand more freshman. Frankly, I think that situation is all bad because the school is taking down more of the gorgeous natural forest, to overpopulate the school even more. I mean, I had a chemisty class a couple years ago with 637 students in it. 637!! thats ridiculous. I really don't think our school needs anymore students.
But back on subject, the tree sit was interesting. This guy and I tried to offer the tree sitters a pie, but none of them wanted it
Yesterday, I went on a magical journey through the woods yesterday with some friends. We laid in the medow, went to a fort and hung out at the hobbit hole. We saw these trees that were silver red and cold to the touch, and these flowers that were the fuzziest purple flower you've ever seen.
And last night we had a nice little get together at my best friends house which, got a little out of control. It's okay though, everyone left fully clothed in the morning, lol. Good times, good times.
Well, I should probably do some work now! I havent done any work since thursday and get this-- I actually feel bad about it... Like im losing my paper writing touch, lol.

Ah, school. I don't miss it at all, though it's worth it when you're done and you have a good job and all that jazz.

Good for you. If there's any place in the world where tree sitting will work its Santa Cruz.. got to love the town of hippies. In my opinion, if UCSC wants to expand they should go either up or down. Demolish and rebuild a few buildings, adding the extra space they need in new floors some underground. Unfortunately I doubt this would be a practical solution... but the alternative to take out trees would destroy the wonderful environment UCSC currently has. Should be interesting to see what happens.
