So we started moving this weekend and i spent all day yesterday cleaning and sorting boxes into the appropriate rooms.
It's actually starting to look bigger than I originally thought with our stuff in it. The walls are painted this awful dank beige color that makes it look smaller. And the carpets are beige. And carpet (besides being nasty and a ridiculous invention) makes spaces look smaller as well.
If they would just let me rip up the carpets and linoleum and repaint and hang some ceiling fans we'd be in a much nicer setup
I would totally do it too except the lease clearly states that repainting will incur a fine and i'm pretty sure reflooring and changing light fixtures would as well.
In other apartment related news, My neighbor across the hall is cute. Long dark hair, a little more curvy than i usually go for, dark eyes and she came out to do her laundry in a cute sundress that i would totally wear. AND! She has a container garden out her back door too!
I think I have a new girl crush
I'm looking forward to making friends. I'm pretty sure she lives alone and she has a grill as well. maybe i'm more interested in her for her status as a grill/ garden owner? Lol.
Either way. Beats having some grouchy old people or a creepy dude across the hall looking into your apartment when you open the door.
Packing up the bedroom today then we might be living over there from now on!!!!!!
