I found a poem from long ago.

Idiot with a guitar and a car
how I despise the way he left
On a thursday
after a fresh rain
and a slice of pecan pie
I was too hard
expecting him to find employment
feed his face with quarters (a handful of loose change)
and nonchalance

Now he sings all the time
night clubs, parking lots, showers, and grocery marts
hes working on a record
a cd of spoken word
hell sell several copies
to friends and cohorts
like drugs on a backstreet
from a beat up van
a real indy band
fronting the idiot with a guitar and a car

I was going to be in a band once with the "idiot with a guitar and a car"


It's funny the way time just erases all the feelings of hurt. I have fond memories of my friends, but they're just memories now. I tend to hurt people with my words, I don't know how it happens, I guess it's just the progression of relationship erosion. It's the virgo tendency to chip away at a person with criticism. As loving as I am, I'm so harsh. I have tried to shake off the judgment, but I think that comes with the whole human package. Man, being human sucks, stupid opposable thumbs.

I will watch my tongue closely I dont want to harm you too with my silly words dear friend.
