It's been an... odd kind of week. Ever had one of those weeks that just feel somehow off-kilter but you can't put your finger on why? Like if my glasses get bent out of alignment and suddenly everything's all cock-eyed. That's abotu where I've been the past week. Of course, it's not been without it's share of requisite nutters, not all of them the customers. I should ahve realised the week might be a bit off when the most pleasant person I had to deal with introduced himself to me by yelling 'I want to fucking kill my son! I want to put a bullet between his bloody eyes!' Yes. Quite.

Added to that, in all the time I've worked at the library, we've always had a big red button under the counter that no-one has any idea what it does. One day my colleague was rather bored and decided to just press it.

In connected news, it appears we have a panic button connected directly to the local police station. And to their credit, the police van arrived rather speedily.

Aah well, that aside, I had a good time on saturday getting rather blotto, now I've just got to mentally prepare myself for next weekend, when I've got two gigs in a row and possibly something happening the day before. Still, doesn't compare to the week/weekend munch has coming, Dropkick Murphy's 3 nights in a row then No Comply with me on sunday. He's going to be dead to the world. And to think, I've got a colleague who's a good couple of years younger than him going on abouthow she doesn't go out now because she's old.

I was sitting through the credits at this small movie, showing at this festival, when it came to the thanks section, several usuals were there and at the end - thanks to Creamy Goodness. There was no vampires, hats or pimps in it though
