Criminy, 50-odd comments in the space of about 24 hours. Either it was my birthday or my set went up and seeing as how I have yet to cause the sudden implosion of the site due to the unleashing of my todger, it must have been my birthday.
Well it was certainly an eventful weekend, I'll tell you that much. It all started on the friday, when I got a text at work asking if I wanted to go meet at The Ship. Needless to say, I can't turn stuff like that down and ended up spending the evening getting very drunk with munch, Ladyinsane, Jayne, oak, Sianyriot and her girlie Jenny whom I was meeting for the first time (I do so very much hope I made a decent impression on her, I was a little nervous on meeting her , especially when Siany told me how much she'd been bigging me up to her
). We got eeeeever so slightly tipsy and the evening became a little "I love you, I really do." "No, I love you, you're one of my best mates, I really care about you." And the best part is I still mean pretty much all of it now I'm sober again.
The evening was certainly fun, although we were all rather mischievous, people kept falling over and spilling drinks. Sianyriot alternated between rugby-tackling me and bumping and grinding in my lap (not that I'm complaining at all), and in the end I had to make sure an ever-so-slightly paralytic oak made it back to the station and didn't end up going to the crobar. Yes John, the stories they've been telling you about chasing the barmaids round the tables and making faces through the windows are all true.
Then on the saturday was the big one, myself and Fanny's birthday extravaganza. I went straight to Henry J Beans after work (which was surprisingly uneventful) only to find I wasn't the first one there for once. It would be sheer madness to try and list everyone there as it was approaching 50, but my thanks to all who came out and made it a rather corking evening. It was a little more civilised than I expected, I blame the surroundings. Henry J Beans is quiet, civilised and well-lit whereas somewhere like The Ship is raucous, noisy, cramped and dark, hence the shennanigans, although I did get a goodnight kiss from Tobie that earned a round of applause, so go figure
There was much silly conversation, drinking and general merriment and I got a bunch of cards and ace presents including:
Some Cream Collon and Gentleman's Pocky from Pixeljuicer (a quick note, your's is quite possibly the tastiest collon I've ever sampled)
A puncture repair kit from Ciel (so I could spend mroe time with my girlfriend. Har har. I think I prefer my other birthday present from her better).
A rather natty comic book from nic and Traumatron (it really is quite stilly and whimsical. Me likey)
Some shaving gel and fluffy pom-poms to practise on from Tobie (har har har, I'll get you back for that one
)
A japanese porn video from antenna and Rela (who apologised for not being able to find any public transportation porn for me, awwww, thanks guys, it's the thought that counts)
And my personal favourite, my very own luchadore mask from munch, Doplex and Ladyinsane which was worn by far too many people in the pub and much silliness with it ensued. I love my mask
Also worthy of mention is Ladyinsane's birthday card, a rather charming piece which featured a lovely little badge saying 'I *heart* anal', which I ended up wearing for the whole night.
After the pub, some of us ended up going on to Afterschool at Holborn afterwards, at which point I realised how much trying to get SGUK people to do anything other than hang around chatting after the pubs kick them out is like trying to herd cats. We finally got them onto the tube there though, although getting them off again was fun "Ok everyone, this is our stop" "NO! WAIT! NO! JUST THE LESBIANS! IF YOU'RE NOT A LESBIAN GET BACK ON!". Afterschool was... well.... let's jsut say it's not really my scene, I headed straight for the upstairs bar and ended up propping up the bar imagining horrible, knifey murder in my head, chatting with the rather cool peeps who came along with us.
After that, Fanny dragged us on to a squat party in Peckham and we had a rather cramped ride there with myself, adthrawn, crisp and Fanny crushed into the back whilst catcher was up front continually asking Laura if she was alright.
Rather distressingly, the squat party was being broken up by the police, who weren't letting anyone else in, so after spending some time wandering around looking for a way to break in, we finally gave up the ghost and headed back to Fanny's to crash after first getting something to eat from the nearby kebab place. The night ended with me, adthrawn, crisp and fanny all crammed into her double bed. Hmmm... deja vu...
On the sunday, I woke up far earlier than I would have liked with Fanny pressing her arse up against me. I've had far worse awakenings, believe you me. My original plan was to high-tail it back home in order to get some sleep in my nice, warm, inviting double-bed all to myself but I realised I desperately, desperately wanted to spend some more time with Ladyinsane and Sianyriot before they went back home, so I dragged my sorry carcass back home, showered, got about 10 minutes of shut-eye and then hauled myself over to munch's pad, where unfortunately I missed Lisa by a matter of minutes, but spent the rest of the day hanging out with the others shooting the breeze and watching Ring 0 until they left to go see Lars Whatshisface and the Bastards in Brighton.
So yeah, I had an absolutely great weekend, my deep thanks and wet, sloppy kisses to you all for making my 24th birthday one of the more memorable ones I've had. Right now I'm sat at home missing you all terribly already. I'm a hair's breadth away from throwing the rest of the week out of the window, dropping everything and taking up Siany's offer of a sofa to sleep on. Thankfully though I have more fun planned for this weekend, when I shall be visiting SGUK's Royal Family with the lovely Tilly down in Brighton.
But seriously, so much love to all you guys, thanks for being awesome, see you all at the next one.
P.S. I'll try and get around to replying to everyone's birthday wishes, but right now my bed's looking awful inviting, even without anyone else in it.

Just one worrying thing though... do you put the copy of the Independant back on the shelf after you've chucked out the old man? Remind me not to read it at your library. Ick.
Take care
