Well I should realy write a journal entry about my weekend as a whole, not just about saturday, seeing as how it's been rather eventful, full to the brim as it was with a pair of right fruitcakes. It all started on the friday night, when I went straight on from work to meet the two afore-mentioned freaks, along with munch, Britt and partiallyblind. Fun was had, glasses were worn, portraits were drawn and drinkies were consumed in abundance. We ended up in the Mean Fiddler dancing like freaks to the rather poo DJs set. We also invented a new, decidedly non-PC version of Hardcore entitled FLIDCORE! I finally stumbled home at 4am after a bit of wandering around London and a rather dodgy chickenburger.
However, there wasn't much chance for a lie-in on saturday as that was the day I stumbled down to Shoreditch to see Lisa and Sian's work for myself. I met up with the crowd from last night as well as Cakemix and Mariana. Both of their work was excellent. I wish I'd spent more time istting in front of Lisa's installation piecing it together, and to all the ladies who appeared in Sian's work, you looked fantastic. Except you Vicky.
I'm kidding, I'm kidding! Please don't hurt me!
Anyhow, after that, we nipped into a vintage clothes store and laughed heartily at the awful puffy dresses, then had an extremely good curry on Brick Lane. Then, surprise, surprise, we went on to the SGUK official Chapter Headquarters, The Ship, whereupon we met up with Pearlbass. We obviously consumed a teensy bit more alcohol than was wise, because some of us then decided it'd be a good idea to go to the arcade. What's more, we also decided it'd be a food idea to cram all 7 of us into the karaoke booth they had there and belt out a few numbers. Thankfully I was on handy with my trusty Camera Of Doom(tm) to record the occasion in glorious, glorious video footage, so enjoy:
FLIDCORE!
My favourite part is Alex's continual ad-libbing between lines
Dear God, hearing us attempt the high notes is just painful
Just be thankful I ran out of room on my camera on Take On Me.
Sunday was my day of rest, howevver, after that on the monday, I ended up in Covent Garden, waiting to meet up with Munch, Ladyinsane, Sianyriot and some of their uni buddies. I spent far too much money in Cybercandy and Forbidden Planet then hung around in Coffee, Cake and Kink for an hour waiting for the girls as, apparently, they arm-wrestled in The Ship. Anyhow, they finally arrived and we perused the smut and I lent Lisa the money for a pair of rubber bondage cuffs (Big Poppa Creamy treats his bitches right) before heading back to The Ship for a couple more drinks and, somehow, someway, ending up back in the karaoke booth again. Argh. After that it was back to Chez Munch's for beer, Oreos and veggy frankfurters before bidding a fond farewell to everyone.
Come back soon

did you get my text/mail about the vid shoot? for some reason my phone and e-mails have gone screwy.
it's been switched to Sat night. which of course is when the Vix farewell meet is happening...
if you still fancy making an appearance (starting 8.30 at london bridge station) then that'd be cool. if not then no worries as we have some halfway decent stuff with you anyway...
cheers!
