So I've taken to wearing a hat, scarf and long coat a bit more as of late. Nothing that major or special, it just helps keep me a bit warmer and dryer in this rather shitty weather:



As you can see, nothing that major, not exactly a ground-shattering change in fashion. However, it's produced quite a large number of comments and responses. And, I have to say, the range of comments, especially at work, have been somewhat baffling. Allow me to present you with some of the remarks I've been getting recently:

"You look a bit like a writer!"
"You look like the Nazi off Raiders of the Lost Ark! You know, the one with the melty face!"
"Nah, you don't look like a Nazi, you look like one of them, you know, Gestapo, with the coat and everything!"
"Hello Ben, you're looking very American today!"
"You look like someone a bit mysterious, a bit dark. You know, like a magician"
"Oh wow Ben! You look like a shady character who's up to no good!"
"Nice hat! It's very.... you know...."
"We've been having a discussion about who you remind us of, and we've decided it's that guy with the hat off Poltergeist"

I'm not quite sure what to make of it all really. Oh, and then there's my personal favourite, and best when stripped of all context:

"You can't fucking wear that! After all, I don't go around murdering whores, DO I?!"
