Right. Well. I suppose I should probably update after all that. I intended to, but what was intended to be a brief nap turned into falling asleep till 6am (you were right after all Fen

So once more I've come off the weekend with some sort of damage (and in case you were wondering, the face-punchy badness is pretty much ok now. Bruising's all gone and apparently there's no break, just a fracture with no visible change in shape, so my dashing good looks haven't been spoiled). This time, in the best tradition of SGUK when forced out into the gave of that horrific baleful ball of fire in the sky ("HOW DOES IT HANG THERE! WE SEE NO STRINGS NOR VISIBLE MEANS OF LOCOMOTION!") I have horrible sunburn. Probably a solid 8 on a scale of 1 to San Francisco.
Yes, I was actually forced from the cozy confines of The Ship this weekend out into the sunshine of well-known tourist hotspot Climping beach. Ahem. ("Oh God, first is was Climping with an i, now it's Clymping with a y! What's going on?! Are there two Climpings?! WHY MUST YOU TOY WITH US SO?!") It was the first SGUK camping weekend. Take a bunch of booze-loving internet nerds and force them to live in tents and sustain themselves for a weekend. Truly a recipe for comedic disaster.
So after putting up Barnicles for the night (and thoroughly raiding her hard drive, ooh-err) and going shopping for all the important necessities (bacon, swimming trunks and red wine) it was off with Iannnnnn to go pitch our tents. And also go camping. After some confusion and scouting, we finally maanged to get our gear up after a lot of effort and proceeded about the very important business of getting drunk, something that I think I may have taken to a bit too well, judging by later stories of me crawling off into the dunes to vomit copiously and pratfalling all over the place. Still, thankfully I managed to leave the tent unbesmirched by bodily fluids, so that was nice.
Saturday was considerably more relaxed and sober on my part. I threw a frisbee (badly), went swimming ("I AM THE TITAN OF THE SEA! I OWN THESE WATERS!"), went looking for firewood ("We killed the tree! We bring wood for fire!") and hit myself in the crotch with a fireball. I also watched monstrooper intently every time he even came near the fire in case I would be needed to rugby tackle the drunken buffoon away from it. Maybe not the most grateful attitude towards someone who provided such a special moment before, but what the hey.
And come sunday it was time to reluctantly pack up and head back home to quite possibly the best cool shower I've ever had. My God I've never needed one more. Special mentions go to:
