It's been too long since I was last here, so a brief update of the past few months...
Took redundancy, nice pay-out, cleared my debts, looked for work, but wasn't too bothered if anything didn't come up soon. Enjoyed a couple of months off, managed to get to the gym 5 days a week, lost weight, found new job, moved house, stopped going gym, got 3 kittens, Christmas, New Year, been gym pretty much every day since...
So, now I sit at my desk at work, which faces through a glass wall into an office full of attractive ladies, and I don't know what to do with my eyes! I keep accidentally making eye contact with people, and it feels a bit like "who's that weird IT guy who keeps looking at me"... I don't mean to, but I face a glass wall, if I'm not looking at my monitors, where do I look? If it were a solid wall, I'd just be daydreaming at that...
I was hired by the company I currently work for to roll out new build PCs, I've been here for 4 months now, and they haven't even ordered the equipment yet. There's very little to do and some days I don't even do 10 minutes actual work. I suppose I'm becoming a little disheartened by it all, questioning whether I should continue with I.T, or try something new... hmmmm
I have a few weddings to attend this year, the first is in Cornwall in March, for which the stag is in Amsterdam mid-February, so looking forward to that. The second is in MEXICO! Luckily I have money from the aforementioned redundancy left over to cover it, so looking forward to that just a little bit more :)
So although in some respects life may be pretty dull at the moment, but at least there are some things to look forward to :)
