I have great memories of "South Pacific" since I was involved in a theatre production of this show many years ago. I was both one of the sailors as well as the French housekeeper. It was a great cast. I was watching the DVD of the movie the other night and thought that someone should modernize the music of "South Pacific" for today's dance market.

I am going to see St. Vincent next month. I am so impressed with this ladies talent. She's got it all. She's got the guitar playing chops and her musical style is all over the place. It's no wonder that David Byrne sought after her to do their duet album from last year. Geniuses tend to find each other.
