There is no gift
I can buy
That can come close
For what you have given me
You gave me life
Not just in birth
But every day
Maybe it is your air
I breathe
That keeps me alive
The Love, hope, caring, giving
You share and teach
To me and others
Is from another world
Maybe heaven
But it is truly from your soul

Something that I wish and try to do
I also wish everyone
Has a mother like you
Saying
Thank you and I love you
Will always fall short
Someday I will find the words
To go along with the
Tear of love
Falling from my eyes
To you
