this weekend there was a party at the bowl. three bands one combi-bowl, and two hundred people. if you've never been there, the place is amazing. it sits comfortably in a warehouse in greenpoint brooklyn, (about half a building away from that 13 alarm fire that took place in may). the building itself has 75 foot ceilings!! 75 feet up... that's way the fuck up there. with all that space you'd imagine the air would continuely renew itself.
you'd be wrong. i think there is some air trapped in there from the civil war.
it's fucking hot in there to say the least. once again, we're having a world record heat wave in new york, and the bowl is doing it's part.
now imagine trying to skate through hot, civil war era soup, made up of the sweat of a thousand scenesters.
it's not easy.
just look at how wet i am... i think that's even before dropping in. (i think i'm the only one there without a beard...)
but this... makes it all worth while. she said she was trying to take a picture of me skating... but those legs kept getting in the way. it's all for the best.
