More snow?? I wish they would cancel my classes today, but that's a pipe dream. It's never happened to me in all my years of going to university. On top of that, my normal 45 minute drive will probably turn into a two hour drive. I'm tired of fighting the weather to get to school on time.

I see your point about school, which is a good way to meet people. But there's a downside--when I went through that shit last year, both my personal and professional relationships largely unravleld, because most of my close friends were all part of the same professional circle. It's important to have nutliple communities and spaces to reatreat to, I learned the hard way...

Hope the weekend is fine...
I am always careful to place time boundaries on my teaching. Basically, you can expend an infiite amount of time on it, so I set limits so I can have a life outside school. Of course, I don't really *have* a life outside school, but it's not because of a lack of free time.
