I am sick again...I'm so darn tired of being sick. Finally went to the doc this time (yay, health insurance!)...they have no idea. My blood work all came back normal. But I've been feeling icky for like a month now. What's the deal? And this weekend, the fever, congestion and badass sore throat were back. Can I just write this reoccurring illness up to "hey, I just moved here and there's new junk to make me sick" or the fact I work in a hospital? I fail to believe I have a wussy immune system because prior to moving here, it was about 3 years since the last fever/flu. Now, I've had it four times since December. And is it normal for Coloradians to have a sore throat that feels like razor blades? It hurts to swallow water! Is this because I'm getting older or because I live in a much dryer place than before? Ug. Frustrating not to have an answer.

In other news...

Three weeks and I'm be visiting my ex-home state of Ohio. Everyone is already starting to flake out on me. I don't have a ride from the airport because my "best" friend wants to stay in and drink that night. Gee, thanks for making me feel secondary to a bottle of booze. I didn't think that could happen.

I got to see Death Proof from Quentin Tarrantino last night. Very disappointing. The story evolved so slowly. Relied too much on dialog that seemed pointless. But ended with a good old girl kicking ass scene. He has that knack for making chicks powerful figures and completely pulverizing their enemy. And he always picks women who are nice and curvy (well, except Uma). This movie was no different. I had to laugh. I stuck in for nearly two hours and the best part was the last 3 minutes. I'm looking forward to seeing the counterpart by Rodriguez (Planet Terror).
