Today is Trent Reznor's birthday. And damn does he look good for 42. I'd still have his babies if he asked. In fact, I think he looks better now than he has in the past. I saw him recently on a music channel doing his latest concert (totally worth the $5 for Frontier TV on my way to Vegas). I think all the working out...

So...I head to the gym today looking forward to afabulous workout to work off some of this anger/sadness that I've been harboring. A fully charged iPod in hand to jam to tunes while doing so.

I jump on the elliptical and my iPod craps out in like 10 seconds. WTF? I charged the hell out of it. I suppose that's what I get for running...

My iPod seems to work a bit longer than that, but not by much. I love the fact that my gym here has individual TVs for pretty much every cardio machine on the second floor.. Totally kick ass. I'll miss the hell out of that place when I move back to Colorado.

I need to get to the gym sometime today but my muscles are still hurting from the workout I did the day before yesterday.

It must be the hormones. Or so I keep telling myself. What else could it be?

I am back from Vegas. It was hot. Nearly 100 degrees every day.

Here's the highlights:

I played roulette with some rich guy's money and won him $500. He graciously gave me $75.

I drank a 48 oz margarita and didn't end up looking at the bottom of the toilet.

I realized that old people (aka my grandparents and mother whom I spent one day...

Yes, I am one of those women who travel alone. You see me at restaurants eating alone, perhaps enjoying a book or watching the game. I am also one of those single ladies that goes to the movie theater alone.

And tonight, Spiderman 3 was absolutely fantastic.

Last week was the two year anniversary of a life changing event. Absolutely the most difficult decision of my life. One that I knew had to happen for my own happiness, but I do regret causing the pain to someone I love. That sparked a series of events that have led me to Colorado and a completely different life. I never would have guessed that...

I had a splendid day off today. Got up. Went for a hike. Came home and had oatmeal for breakfast. Went to the gym for a quick cardio workout. Saw cute guy staring (either admiring my fabulous physique or wondering why I wasn't working out harder; I like to think it's the first). Ran some errands. Had lunch. Laid topless in the sun daydreaming about...

So...modern dance...what's the deal? Am I just an uncultured boob who can't appreciate it? Saw my first performance last night and I was not at all impressed. The dancers flow around the stage, doing sommersaults and all that junk. It's not even to the rhythm of the music. The men wear skirts too so they flow as well. It's pretty to watch, but I just...

don't worry about missing out on the whole culture aspect. i'm sure those events are enjoyable, but a society reaching for more culture just segregates us more.

Meeting new people sucks. Being relatively "new" to Colorado, I'm having to start all over in the friend-making department (as well as the eternal search for the wonderous significant other). It takes so much energy, especially for little old introverted me.

Meeting potential romantic interests online is the worst of my experiences so far...80% of the time, I waste my time and energy having coffee...

I am on the fence about blogs. Are they a way to honestly speak your mind? A nice format that you can candidly express yourself without worrying what the reprecussions. You know, where you can talk about the weather or your emotions or how much you like that cute boy in geometry.

Or are they a medium so that you can tell people what you...

My new favorite food is oatmeal. I always thought it was too mushy in the past, but if you prepare it correctly then it actually tastes good. Now, some people may love the mushy texture, but I prefer mine a little hearty with something to chew on. It has definitely become my new favorite breakfast.

On a side note, I biked another 9 miles this...
