I have an idea.

Is it time to embrace the gray hair that I have been hiding all these years? It is true, my hair is colored. Now, don't act shocked. I've been doing this since I was 17. I've been going prematurely gray all these years. My hair started out a rich, near-black hue naturally...when I was born. Now, it's probably about 50-75% white....

I dated a girl for a while that started going grey in her late teens as well. To my knowledge, she never once colored it, just left it "as is" and was fine with it. However, I did think she was a few years older than she actually was when I first met her. *shrug*

Do whatever makes you happy. wink

Yup. Feeling better today. At least I didn't spend 23.5 hours of my day sleeping. Actually pulled half a day at work and survived without incident. Came home for a nice, long nap. But had to cancel more evening plans because I'm not yet up to par. That makes me cranky. One of my new year's resolutions was to only make plans that I'm going...

Started out good.

102 fever broke this afternoon.

Worst day of silly nonsense adding up to a steaming pile of a shithole day.

Had to cancel plans for tomorrow that I was looking forward too.

Very sad about that.

Feeling overly emotional and pathetic for doing so.

One of my roommate's dogs is a total asshole. Okay, both of them are, but one annoys me 810 times greater than the other. The one I'm talking about is some kind of shitz-a-poo type dog, small and kickable. About the size of my cat.

When I leave in the morning, I have this latch system that keeps the bigger dog out of my room....

First of all...is there anything that Hugo Weaving can't do? This guy is amazing. He's Agent Smith, V, LOTR elf dude, as singing tranny (in Pricilla Queen of the Desert)...and now he'll be voicing Megatron in the new Transformers movie. Count me in!

Second, yay for me...I biked 16 miles today and didn't wuss out.

Third, it was a beautiful weekend in Boulder. Living here...

Without Weaving The Matrix would have sucked. OK, not really, but he was great. biggrin

I'm envious. CT is wonderful but it's not Colorado.

I was going to ramble on about relationships and why people (aka friends) seem to dissolve from my life after a period of time, but that's too depressing. So I'll spout a little of it, just to get it off my mind and maybe I'll sleep a bit.

Back in Ohio I had a nice group of friends. I thought that when I moved to...

Something bit me on the bosom...not a person, but a buggy of some kind. Right between my girls. WTF? The only thing I can think of is cuddling in the night with my little kitty, but he is (or was) flea-less. Does Colorado have fleas? If so, how does an indoor cat get fleas without ever going outside? Maybe my roommate and her zoo horde?

Yeah, they did reschedule the show for September 4th. I have been to a few shows that were cancelled mid way through and they didnt reschedule or give us our money back, so I guess thats pretty cool of them to come back.

My search for a full-time job has been inexplicably fruitless in the last 6 months. I thought for sure I would have something by now. I also keep telling myself that patience will turn my on-call position into a full-time one. If I could just hang out until the end of the fiscal year and see what happens when they re-do their budget, will they...

Alas, the fates were not on my side today. Perhaps tomorrow? Althgouh, I've been saying that for at least 10 years and Lady Luck still hasn't swung my way.

My time is soon. I can feel it.

I've been saying that for at least 10 years too, hehe. wink

I'll admit this here...I want happy endings. In movies, with relationships, and in all parts of life. Perhaps it is the girl inside that makes me want a happy ending to every situation. Or maybe it's the fact that I rarely get a happy ending and feel as though I'm due for one. Whatever the case, it's how I think. It's why I get teary...

In life, I'm less a fan of happy endings than happy beginnings. Endings are typically sad by their very nature. I had one of those recently . . . fantastic beginning, sad ending. But the experience as a whole was positive--I wouldn't have traded it for the world. I think what I prefer is a happy beginning and an even happier, indefinite continuation. smile

So Sunday, I took a spill off my bike. Big surprise. I'm a total clutz. Some scrapes and bruises on me. My bike made it out with a little bent brake (which i can fix) and a scratch on my bar ends. But it was a fabulous day! I biked 12 miles then hiked for about 2.5 hours. All that physical activity felt so f*ing...

I want a beer so badly today!

But damn if it isn't Sunday and all the liquor stores are closed. That's one good thing about Ohio when I lived there - you could buy beer anywhere, anytime, any day. Here in Colorado, you can't score a thing unless you go eat at a restaurant. And I sometimes don't have the foresight for planning ahead and...

I thought it was 3/2 beer though?
terranwanderer:
Could be--I'm not much of a beer drinker, so I never thought about it. I know I've bought Coors Original at a grocery store in the past, but I don't know if that's under 3.2? I thought it was more of a five.
