Being a top recruit in a top PhD program is fucking insane. Intense. Fun. Intense. Doesn't leave much spare time. Makes you drink at least 2x as much beer as you used to on the rare occasions when you DO have spare time. And even when you do you're always thinking about your research.
On the other hand, would I trade my new life in Salt Lake City, at the University of Utah for anything? NOPE.
