Ok, so the weekend is over... the pool is still green (although hopefully, by this afternoon they will have cleaned it at least...) and the concrete contractor still has his head up his ass... the more things change, right?
Anyway, had some fun over the weekend... I got to demolish the slide that used to hang out by the pool. Total apocalyptic fun there! 4lb. sledgehammer + Fiberglass slide = angry neighbors and lots of debris!
Got that all cleaned up and then made room in my front yard / courtyard area to spray paint "POND" in big orange letters where the... you guessed it... pond will be! I'm digging a Koi pond over the next month or so, complete with crane fountains and of course, fish. Done it on my last couple of homes and figured that out here, the weather's good enough all year that I shouldn't have the issues I did back east. As long as I can keep the algae blooms to a minimum, I should be good... although since the pool out back is green... hrmmm...
So now my lawn is spray painted orange and astronauts can see where the pond will be. That's a start. I also got the new accelerator peddle put in the '31... it's billet and I know I'm gonna burn in hell for it, but it was the only fucking one I could find that didn't have a shitty, welded knuckle at the firewall... I'll just sand the fucker and paint it black... that should hold the critics at bay a while!
Got a bunch of new "fuck the establishment" type stickers put on the Prius too... yep, I'm the guy with the "green", environmentally friendly Toyota and the total gas-hog custom oldies to offset it. That pretty much describes me completely. Anyways, I got the back end of the Prius done up in Punk / Political stickers to offset the geek factor and to show that I'm not a smug fucker (South Park anyone?). As if Hatebreed playing out of the stereo and the tattoos didn't do a good enough job of that already... oh well.
Back to work for me, I've run out of useless dribble for the day.
