Stage 1 of my remodelling scheme has started, and after only 18 months of habitation too! At this rate I should have the whole apartment the way I envision it in under 30 years! Woohoo!
I closed up the glass and wood division between my bedroom and the livingroom. Somehow the idea of my son leaving his room in the middle of the night and catching dad whipping some poor little girl kind sounded like a bad idea to me. Of course, the key ingredient for that particular scenario would be a girl. Luckily - for my son's mental stability - that seems a tad unlikely at this point in my life.
Next week it's wallpapering time, after which I'll go to buy some good soft carpet to lay down in the bedroom and I'll start lugging around furniture until I'm satisfied. After that the bedroom'll be done. Then there'll only be the kitchen, the bathroom, the toilet, the livingroom (sans wallpapering) and the kiddo's bedroom to worry about. Yay!
Oh, and if you want to sign up for the position of 'girl'...
