I'm back and I'm missing the States already.

Still, being gone for four weeks is hell if you've got a cute little three year-old sitting at home that you can only talk to on the phone and then only if he feels like it.

On the upside, I had a blast in Austin and Santa Cruz, not to mention Portland.

Thanks to the hospitality of Octane and PatrickY, I was able to spend two weeks in the Portland area, meeting new people, making friends and catching performances by Marie, London, Germany, Stormy, Scylla and Absinthe at both Dante's and Devil's Point. In doing so, I learned that Germany, Absinthe and Stormy's sets do not do them justice, good sets though they are.
