I've been mucking around with my ipod touch for quite a while now. This little piece of technological wonder had me drooling and I anticipated rubbing my finger all over it's shiny smooth surface. It was all good for the most part of the first week, then like an unfaithful bastard that I am I felt I needed more out of it. It just wasn't enough that I could download my favorite SG Video and Pics and transfer them to my portable player. I needed it to do more and I started longing for the ipone. Not because it was a phone, but because it had alot more applications that I thought should have been added in the first place. The iphone comes with a slew of applications such as email, weather, stock, and a note pad. So I though long and hard about what excuse I could give to return my already used IPod Touch and exchange it for the iphone, when I came across a website www.ipodtouchfans.com within these forums lies the forbidden art of Hacking Or JailBreaking in Igeek terms. Immediately I indulged myself for 3 hrs reading up and downloading everything I needed to make my Ipod Touch the Beast I know it can be. After another Hour of tweaking I finally Got what I wanted and I couldn't be happier because for a day or so It seemed that Steve Jobs was hellbent on monopolizing our Iexperience that the last update to roll out actually carried the risk of Bricking your Ipod Or Iphone. For those that don't know what bricking is. It is essentially creating a paperweight out of the machine you just unsuccessfully hacked and rendered useless, voiding your warranty and burning another $300-$400 in your pocket for a new one. This doesn't phase me at all, being technologically endowed, I have no fear of hacking. So what was the whole point of this blog you say? None really except to express my joy and share the knowledge for those that would like to do the same.
