Mare is good. I'm not much into Red Sparrowes. Into the Moat is good listening, I love it. Jesu, I've heard good things, haven't checked out much. The Acacia Strain I really had no interest in checking out...Isis is good chill music. Opeth...I haven't listened to them in years. FASSW is also amazing!!
As for the CDs you're waiting on...The new The Red Chord, from the 1 song I've heard, is horribly produced. Most of the low end was stripped away. The drums aren't as much of a showcase anymore, and the vocals are a bit more polished.
The new Mars Volta is in my stereo at the moment. The songs are long, so it's hard for me to make it through them. But it's an awesome release.
The new Ed Gein is going to be amazing!! I saw them last year and they played either 2 or 3 songs from their Black Market Activities debut, and they were amazing!!
