New reasons why being a grown up in my apartment rocks:

While roomie is at work plans are hatched to make smoothies and watch But I'm a Cheerleader when she gets home. Upon home arrival of said roomie it is discovered that there isn't nearly enough juice in the house to make smoothies. Adventure begins, to the corner store!

At the corner store a brilliant plan is hatched. We have pineapple at home....now we need...stuff. Hey, do we want to get coconut milk? Oooo, coconut and pineapple. Oh, know what would be good? Pineapple, coconut milk and raspberry sorbet! Yes! Get both then come home...make ORGASMIC smoothies! Watch But I'm a Cheerleader while drinking orgasmic smoothies out of mason jars with bendy straws and neon pink flamingo stirers in them.

Ahhhh, life is good. One day in the future when we want to get very fucked up we will remake this with coconut rum and ice added. See, if you add ice then you need less of other stuff, because the ice takes up room in the blender. Did I mention we made an entire blender of this stuff? All we did is dump, I kid you not, a can of coconut milk, a can of chopped pineapple and a pint of raspberry sorbet into the blender. God that was good!

I took pictures, but the program I use to get pictures off my phone is being a dick so they will have to wait.

ETA: Ah, now I can get the pictures off my phone!

There are two other pics too in my pics section...I was in love with them, you know.

Japanese (and the culture) really isn't that difficult. Just different. I've been learning as a hobby for about six years now and I think I am prepared for the culture shock of when I get there, somewhat anyway.

If I am accepted onto the course that I have in mind, I will be speding a whole year in Japan, which to me sounds amazingly exicting.
