This is fucking with my mind.

There is a former student of mine who plays for one of the other pool teams. We played their team tonight. Anyway, there is something about this woman that just keeps drawing me towards her. When she was a student, she would always participate in class, often while wearing a skirt. She's an intelligent, interesting, creative, and very attractive woman. And when she relaxes enough to talk to me, she's quite friendly.

But I know two things. First, I know she gets stressed out very easily. She's in her last year of college, so she's freaking out over all sorts of things. And she often gets quite emotional. She lost her match tonight, and I just wanted to hug her, she looked so sad.

But where is the line? The class I had her for was 2 years ago, or more. I'm maybe 8 years older than her. Does the fact that she was a student now make her off-limits forever?

I have no idea if she would say yes to meeting for a cup of coffee. But I need to figure out where the line is before I can even think of asking.

I should say that I have no idea if she is seeing anyone right now.

Marvelous, intelligent, silly man! Of course she's not off limits forever! It's a violation of your station as a teacher if you schmooze her into a closet for a make out session when you control what grades she'll be pulling in.... unless you intend to openly grade her on her looks, personality and her talents at the multiple forms of kissing that a woman can offer a man! LOL. And even then, I have doubts about whether that would be criminal. <merf> I agree with JustJeff as long as it's not criminal in your country, or in your contract it all comes down to personal comfort. You obviously don't think of her as a student anymore.... mostly. And once you're over 20, age doesn't count anymore (gotta find yourself a better excuse Coyote-san!) <dodges the projected charlie horse thrown by Mike> As for the emotion and stress, well aren't all women supposed to be like that? I could go into an I-have-no-life diatribe about hemispherical function and separation between the sexes, but truly, emotion and stress run higher in women for good reason, and most of us fit that description to a greater or lesser extent. If nothing else you can say that we are vastly different than our male counterparts.

I think you should go for it, BUT I think that you should go for drinks....alcohol stimulates testosterone production in us (gawd, when did I turn into such a geek knowing all this stuff?????) and she'll be climbing over the table to get at you!!! <-- sure fire way to see if you still think of her as a student! You're a good man, I don't question your ethical choices, not that you asked, but I don't think you should either.Not that you need it, but good luck <minxy smile>

Nekkid, huh? Do I get to see you nekkid? Online? And then, maybe post on my blog that your pictures are great, and spread the word? Hahahaha merf. You can see where this is going- yup. THEN I would do a tidy little right click, download the pic and use it as wallpaper on my 19
' monitor. I....am grinning unabashedly!!!!
