How much do you love yourself?

One of my goals this year was to fall in love with myself again. Life gets difficult and our minds and even people can be so cruel.

I took on the project of viewing my body in different lights. Some would say its "unflattering" but to me, it's real.

Body's have scars, stretch marks, loose skin, etc. Somehow society has deemed those as "imperfections". I completely reject that idea. The marks on your skin tell a story the same as a tattoo.

To me, suicidegirls has meant a community that comes together to embrace what others see as "imperfections". I have found home in groups that have helped me realize and heal any insecurites I have. For that, im forever grateful.

I think listening to people criticize you for your flaws is a strong hurdle to overcome but you shouldn't listen to people who say you're perfect either, no one is perfect that's what makes you unique. Embrace your imperfections and know that if you have your health, you can be happy in your own skin and raise above those who aren't happy in there's and need to put there insecurities on you.

I have loved your photos and your words, whether on your stream or written, since you came to SG. You are a beautiful and amazing woman. I am sorry people criticize you but know this. You are the one putting yourself out there, not them. You are WAY more brave and full of gumption than a majority of people. For that, you should be proud and feel awesome. I applaud you and ask that you keep up the great work for yourself and we will be here to appreciate you and your words and photos.
