2014 has been a really strange, empowering, yet humbling year for me thus far.

I started out my year in January working a dead end job that I was beyond miserable with, and a dead car. I was forced to move back home with my mom for a month or so until I was able to get a vehicle again, and I quit my job while I was under her roof. Even though I was piss poor at the time, I was able to finance my (small term) dream car, and go back home. I've spent the time since then just BARELY scraping by, working in retail. (When I mean just barely, I mean playing that game where it's 9 days before my last check, and I'm trying to figure out how to make my last $15 last until I get paid again. It's incredibly stressful, and I cry way too much.)

I'm a cosmetologist.

Tomorrow, I'll be doing my 3rd interview for a salon (which originally I had no interest in working in, and now I'm overjoyed at the thought) which has a 4 interview process. I'm so close. This job would be life changing for me, not just in the monetary sense, but in the way it would further my career. I'll be receiving 8 months of advanced training, and I'll come out on the other side a much stronger stylist. I cannot wait. It'll be ridiculously hard, but I'll do it :)
