Whoa.
I'm not dead.
Recap of the past several months:
- I was unemployed from October until the middle of May. Sweet Jesus! I finally found a job at a small company as an administrative assistant. I love it. The people are awesome [I work with all guys, which is cool because I can't stand working with women]. My boss brings his dogs in to work every day. We get donuts on Friday. Plus...I get a paycheck. I forgot what having money was like!
- Kevin and I celebrated our one-year anniversary on January 4th.
- My precious guinea pig, Eddie, died in March. I'm still grieving. I miss him so much.
- I got a digital camera in December, so I've been taking bunches of photos.
- I went to the doctor a couple of months ago because I've been incredibly exhausted all the time, and I found out I'm anemic. Despite taking an iron supplement every day, I'm still tired. Ugh.
- Today is my birthday! I'm 24. Rock on.
- I've got a lot of cool events coming up in September. I'm seeing The Killers on the 9th, Mitch Hedberg & Stephen Lynch on the 11th, Snow Patrol on the 22nd [I think?] and Franz Ferdinand for the second time on the 29th. I might have the Snow Patrol and Franz Ferdinand dates mixed up, though...oh well. In any case, September must be the month when all the cool people come to Minnesota.
- I got to meet the members of Electric Six earlier this year [awesome guys] and the members of Franz Ferdinand in March [SUPER nice...lovely Scottish boys]. I saw The Darkness not too long ago. They rocked my socks off.
Anyway, that's what I've been up to. The reason I was gone for so long was because I had to cut out any unnecessary purchases so I could save money while I was unemployed. Man, I've missed this place.
