I was thinking a lot about mortality, the fleeting nature of life today and damn it all if I almost wasn't t-boned pulling out of a grocery store. The car in front of me was hit and the car thet hit her spun out into a ditch. Everybody was fine, but I had been pulling into the other lane before I stopped...well, I guess it wouldn't have killed me, but it stopped my heart for a few beats. Fun Fact: Fruit flies live for about 24 hours, Periodical cicadas live for 17 years underground then mate and die within a week of emerging.
