If anyone ever says @christina, @exkyu and I can't throw a party, show them this photo and then throw a dirty sock at them. MY WEEKEND ROCKED! SG Australia is the most amazing group on this website and I am so so so glad to know each and every guy and gal on there!
This year's party was the most fun I've ever been to (aside from Sydney 2010, nothing will ever beat that night). We hosted it in Melbourne (for the first time ever) and the whole party was a super fun, high-energy adventure in friends. It's so fun to watch everyone go from not really knowing each other to slightly tipsy and mingling to all out drunk with crazy dance moves. It was really amazing watching girls and guys that I knew for a fact didn't know each other talking and hugging and laughing together. I guess that's what makes our group so close and active. This party is incredible for bringing people together every year.
The theme this year was UV, so everyone dressed really bright and we had a bunch of blacklights and DJ @christina on the decks. SO FUN! Here are some of the photos in no particular order. All photos by @benjiwa
We had @ainslie and @miabelle and lola ramone all doing burlesque for us. Lola had a UV act which was amazing but all three were fantastic. WE ALSO HAD FREE FOOD! We learned our lesson at the Canberra Ball two years ago when we had an open bar instead of food. I still refer to that one as the 'vomit ball'.
All in all we had 7 SG's and 14 hopefuls at the party. Up until this year, we've always done a group photo of the SG's separately to the hopefuls but we decided not to this year. If you've gotten naked in front of a camera and put your photos up on this website, that's good enough for a group photo, don't you think? Here's the photo:

I've had a few people ask me about the quiz and what all the answers were. The quiz has been a recent phenomenon of the last two or three years. Basically what happens is the organisers put together a quiz and give away SG merch packs to the people who got it right. This year the winners were @terome and @ainslie. Luckily I had merch left over from previous events so I didn't have to bother poor @lyxzen again by asking for more. We also gave merch prize packs away to the best dressed guy and girl (@walk_this_way and Maddi - the UV fairy in the pics above). But yes, the quiz. I actually didn't write the questions (@exkyu did) but we made up a 'answers' sheet, so here it is. Obviousy these aren't the only correct answers. There are plenty of other SG's and Hopefuls and set names you could have listed!

Phew! This is turning into a mammoth blog! But I still have to talk about the sets @exkyu and I shot over the weekend! We shot three in all. One was of me, one of @emmameow and one of @opheliacreep. Here are some teasers.
This one is SUPER preliminary. I haven't even had a chance to look through what I'm working with yet. I just picked one random nice pic from the first 5 images on the photo roll and went with that. I seem to be sneering. Whatever. You can see basically what I'm working with. I won't be submitting it for a while, got to leave space for other sets to get bought first.
HOLY SHIT @opheliacreep is a BABE! She has another couple of sets in the queue, but this one will be submitted to SG tonight and hopefully the wait won't be too long because I want you all to see the pretty!
@emmameow is so perfect it's actually not fair. NOT FAIR. We submitted this one a few hours ago so it should be hopping it's way into the MR queue soon. I really loved how this one turned out too. What an amazing set of sets.
Speaking of photosets, if you haven't already please go check out @twiggy's new one in Member Review here. I honestly think it's one of the cleanest, most beautifully elegant sets I've ever had a part in creating. I'd love for it to get bought, twiggy has been on the site since '05 I think? She runs a couple of groups and is super active and deserves to be front page. So go give her some love.
Last but not least, we've got a set of @mouse coming out in a couple of days and then @unicorn a couple of days after that so keep your eyes peeled! Also if you haven't already Secret Garden still needs your love.
