I'm Countessa. I'm a model and an Aussie recruiter for SuicideGirls.com (this is my profile and blog you're looking at right now but you can also see me on Twitter, INSTAGRAM and on Model Mayhem). If you're reading this, it's probably because I just stumbled across your profile and I think you're super hot and that you would be a great addition to the site!
If becoming a model for Suicidegirls sounds like something you're interested in pursuing, the very first thing you will need to do is apply here:
Make sure to list that 'Countessa' referred you so I can easily locate your application. Even if I didn't send you here directly, put my name down anyway. The more Countessa recruits the merrier!
Once you've applied, you will need to wait a day or two for HQ to approve you as an 'applicant'. When they do, log in to your model page and fill in your profile! You will also want to have a look at the 'paperwork' and 'ID' tabs in the applicant area and fill those out too. Once that's done, you're ready to find a photographer and shoot a photoset!
Its okay if you've never modeled before or if you're a bit confused by the process here on SG. When I see your application come in, I'll be in touch with all the information you need to shoot a set and become a successful hopeful (and an eventual Suicidegirl).
Much of the info below is for Australian applicants and hopefuls. If you're from overseas, take a look at the Staff page for photographers and contacts in your country and you can go ahead and skip to the last three paragraphs of this post for more important international info!
There is only one 'Staff Photographer' on Suicidegirls that lives in Australia (Exkyu) but everyone on the list below has shot good quality stuff that is in line with the stringent photography and editing requirements set by the site. I know all of these photographers well and they're all above-board, professional and very talented. You will go really far with them.
When you contact one of the photographers, make sure they know you're an existing applicant on SG. Tell them where you're located, if you've got the ability to travel (ie: a car) or not, link them to your portfolio or your instagram (or better, both) tell them whether you have modelling experience and that you were referred by me. Once you're in contact, your photographer will talk to you about shoot locations, outfits, confirm photoshoot prices etc.

To those of you in Tasmania or the Northern Territory, I don't have photographers for you in your states, I'm sorry. We're working on it! Please also keep in mind that the photographers listed above travel around a lot so you may be able to catch them when they're interstate. For example, Exkyu and I travel at least twice a year to shoot sets for interstate hopefuls and Suicidegirls at big photo shoot parties that we all call 'shootfests'.
Once you've shot and submitted a photoset, it will go through the Member Review process. MR is pretty simple - you submit a set, we review it for quality and if we approve it you are given a free 1 year Hopeful membership to the site. Your set will wait in a short queue before going live in MR. Once its live, the members, SGs, and photographers on the site leave their feedback. If the set does really well and we think you’re a good fit for the site, we will purchase your set and feature it on the front page as "Set of the Day" and you will become a SuicideGirl and receive $500.
Please have a good look at the Model FAQ and the Model Guide before you shoot your first set for more info on all of this stuff. The FAQ has everything from this page explained in much more detail. The Model Guide is nothing short of amazing. It gives you plenty of info about how to look good in photos, how to model, what to do for your hair and makeup and outfit etc. Essential reading for anyone who wants to model for SG or for anywhere else, really.
