Oh how I wish that when I updated, my entries would be more than the typical stream of consciouness BS they always turn out to be. I kick around thoughts in my head all day and kind of wanna share, but when I get home and try to write, they all come out like this: HAMBURGERRR!!!!

I just mailed off...

I like games, preferably rated E or T. Whatcha got? We'd even throw in breakfast and access to our impressive librabry if you want to start reading again.
I bet you'd like Tom Robbins.

Also I got your message later than Monday evening so sorry about that. We're not ususally so lame. blush

I spent most of Friday with the lovely and charming imfrickincold who is visiting from lovely and charming Alaska. We went to a cute little cafe downtown where I got a lox bagel sandwich which was maybe the tastiest thing I've ever eaten. Then after a tiny powernap, we went to my work ao that I would actually have some...

Hey cell-mate,

You make it so difficult to room with when you leave your clothes all over the place!!! When the hell are you going to do your laundry, bitch? So help me God, if you touch my starch one more time, I'm going to make a wind-chime out of you genitals! Have you heard anything more about your deathrow pardon?

Hugs and kisses,
BTK

Ps: You've got that rainbow feel, but the raibow has a beard.

Ok, so I'm getting my second wind here and I have to wait for my clothes to dry illegarbress, so here's what happened today.

This afternoon I went downtown to watch the first round of the US Barista Championship. Two of my co-workers are competing this year and I wanted to cheer my gals Jen and Jen on from the sidelines. Not surprisingly, both Jens...

i also speak from experience in saying that when it inevitably falls to pieces (small like asbestos, embedding itself in your flesh), you'll want to die rather than go to work. but if you're into masochism, that's cool -- & it's really fuckin' great at first because you'll always have something to look forward to at work... biggrin

Wow, I'm surpsrised that everyone is so surprised that there exists such a thing as a barista competiton. Well yes, yes, and yes, there is indeedy! Last September was the NW Regional competition and this week is the United States Barista Competition (or USBC) -- and it's even in Seattle! My store is sending 2 competitors and I plan on...

Barista Competition. Wow. You really do learn something new everyday.
Last week at Target a little kid told me that the third Ratchet & Clank was the best one.
Do you agree?
doctorspooky:
Okay I give. What the hell's a Barista?

What # random person was I?

I also want new socks and underwear. Small world! smile

I agree about the camera angles on Kindom Hearts. I never said it was perfect. That word is reserved for Mario 64.

I personally find it hilarious that I'm so stoked about this low-level Final Fantasy run-through. Playing this game is the highlight of my day as of late -- but there's no shame in that -- it's so good! Is it the best game ever? Maybe.

So let's see....

Beat Dadaluma -- easy.
Went to the Veldt again to pick up...

My love for the Final Fantasy series waned when they introduced sci-fi elements to it at the beginning of FFIII. My friends had the game, and it was totally on my list of things to play, but I felt betrayed. They crossed a line that they shouldn't have crossed.

On screen there were guys in robot suits walking around the ye olde village with the thatched roofs and all that. I was like, "This is final fantasy -- fantasy! This isn't Final Reverie, or Final Daydream. You can't just put guns on screen and think I'm going to buy it. You can't just mix the genres up like that. How am I supposed to know what's going on?"

I was a freaky kid I guess. Most of my friends couldn't get enough of FFIII. They wouldn't come out of their houses to skateboard... It was a sad month.

I work 5 or 6 days, between 40-50 hours, each week at a job where I stand for eight hours, often without a break and have to be social the entire time.

Then my 'friends' give me giant guilt trips because I would rather stay home and sit in front of the PlayStation on my days off instead of going...
