So, in most places where they have you make a profile about yourself, usually there's a big space for one to wax narcissistic and tell them all about you and what you do and why you are and all that other wonderful stuff. I didn't see such a space on here, so I'm assuming this is it.

I had originally planned to do this the day I joined the site, but it was really late at the time, so I'll do it now. I figured the best place to start out this section is to talk about my handle. Why would a man refer to himself as the Cosmic Bartender?

Well, let's rewind the tape to high school. I was reading a lot of Buddhism at the time and watching a lot of TV/movies wherein a guy would be found pouring his heart out to the bartender, who would often have the precise bit of sage advice that was needed, all the while casually wiping down the bar or cleaning a glass. I really liked this image. At the same time, very often people would come to me for opinions or advice, and I ran with a very large crowd back in the day. I started it out as a joke and eventually the name stuck, and thus the Cosmic Bartender I became.

Please note that while I have been told often that I would make a great one, I am not in any way or form an actual bartender. The most complicated thing I could make is a screwdriver. Just figured I'd get that out of the way now.

I actually started to write this post yesterday and somehow wound up deleting it--aren't I a smart one?--and it seemed longer at the time. Meh.

So, that's a little about me. Feel free to check back, and I'll talk more about me! Or other things. We'll see what happens.
