When did it become okay for only one person in a group to have an opinion?

When did it become okay for people to scream out racial slurs?

When did it become acceptable for guys to threaten a female?

Blood is thicker than water, but where is that line drawn? If I have a pedophile for a brother, cousin, sister, aunt, uncle whatever, do I not turn them in just because they are family? Do I let them continue raping little kids just because we share blood?

And if you know someone has drinking problems (i.e. has been in trouble with the law for drinking, gets violent etc) why in the hell would you ENCOURAGE them to continue drinking?!

I am quickly losing faith in the male sex.
I hope you can watch out for your sister because I guarantee her husband will have no problem beating her. Be proud of yourself.

That all sounds very unpleasant. I'm sorry to hear there's such ugliness in/around you. Personally, I find it's best to always assume (hetero) males are vile scumbags from the beginning. That way, if they do actually turn out to be halfway decent, it's a nice surprise.

Yikes! There's no doubt about it--there are a LOT of jerks out there. There's definitely a line where you can't stick by your relatives--and most of the stuff you list definitely crosses it.
