So tomorrow I turn 26. While I think my birthday is an international holiday (IMO it is ^_~) , I celebrate it like it is. We aren't promised tomorrow or hell the next 5 minutes, so we should celebrate every damn second. Last year, I was down & out. When I turned 25, I was: $5,000 in debt, no cash, my cell was off & I didn't even have gas to get around the corner. That's not including my poor health, my sister's terrible health & all the depression, guilt & betrayal that went with it. Within a month though, I had a great career, savings & well on my way to whittling down that debt. Today, I only have $200 left of that debt, rainy day savings & I couldn't imagine being without my job.

What I'm saying is, I am blessed. Truly blessed. I've hit bottom & survived it. There is nothing in this life that can scare me anymore, save losing a loved one again. Sorry for this long-windedness. I'm just hella grateful again and I plan on celebrating so fucking hard.

Life is not guaranteed or to be treated lightly. Love hard, love deep, just love & live your life for yourself. At the end of the day, you're only accountable for and to yourself. Do what makes you happy. /endpreachiness
