i'm up, showered, dressed, packed, ready to go, and it's not even 9am yet! i don't normally even roll out of bed until sometime well after noon, and it's reluctantly at that!

i awoke to a phone call from one of my very first loves from something like 17 years ago! i spoke to him for the first time in nearly 10 years last week and he called this morning to make arrangements to meet at some point over the next few days. god damn i hope he's as hot as i remember, but if not, i still love him anyway because he made such an impact on my life all those years ago, musically, intellectually, everything.

regardless, it's really nice to awake to someone's voice who you care about and who sounds eager to connect, especially after going to sleep mildly teary (not sobbing at least!) after talking to the big-bad-ex who ruined my life and still attempts to torment me. very nice juxtaposition...evil in the night, bliss in the morning. fitting.

now i just have to get ebin to get his sleepy ass out of bed so we can roll on down the highway. san francisco will never be the same after being menaced by us for two days.
