Traveling alone sucks! I used to travel a lot on business . . . . glad I don't anymore. Just love having dinner alone in a restaurant . . . reading to avoid looking pathetic. Frequently just got room service. Not having someone to talk to and "share the pain" blows big-time! On the occasions when I had someone traveling with me . . . . I'd instigate late nights and bar hopping . . . . side trips to see things, whatever. One of my best road trips . . . I went to LA . . and took a pretty conservative lawyer/friend with me. We went to all the clubs in West Hollywood . . . what a hoot! We ended up in the Rainbow Cafe on Sunset . . . where all the west coast bands hang out . . . . I was thinking this was some kind of freak show . . . then I realized it was Halloween!

And I love to travel. It is my life plan to find someone to travel with to international spots. Oh? Want to live in Spain for the next while? Okay. Brazil after that? Sure...
And side trips within a trip are the best ever.
