Long day today. In addition to the usual 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM workday, I have to go to a Planning & Zoning meeting at the City tonight, for one of my projects. These meetings usually run from 6:30 PM until 11:00 PM. I think tonight's meeting has a light agenda, so I'm hoping to be out of there by 8:00 PM.

I have to try not to spend any money this week because I spent like a mad motherfucker the week of my research. I get paid on Friday, but only $300. I decided that each month I'm putting away $200 towards getting amante reconnected. For this month I just used the rest of my senior thesis money, but next month it's coming out of my paycheck. Hopefully it will work, because I sure don't want to blow $8000 on a surgery that isn't successful. Fortunately I think the place we want to go gives you a substantial refund if the surgery fails, and their success rate is fantastic.

Ignorance, certainly, would be bliss. Sadly, I have hobbies, and friends who bug me to go out with them every weekend, but I am such the antisocial homebody at times. It just takes too much energy out of me and I think I overanalyze it too much. I used to work in a nightclub for six years and during that time/before that time, I used to go out every weekend I just got over it. Id look around after six years at having worked the same place and see the SAME faces getting drunk, yet AGAIN, and taking home ANOTHER stranger
But, I do agree that winning the lottery might make things a *bit* different. Of course, purusing hobbies and having lots of fun would be first on my list. But, Id definitely be a world explorer not quite the same as traveling, but similar. Well, I think time off from school has given me too much time to think. I know I shouldnt go back, because it was making me quite miserable and its not what I wanted to do, but going back just to occupy my brain seems like a lovely idea dull classes or no. I dont know Im still up in the air on that one.
Well I will be MIA after today, as my NC friend is coming tonight. But, Ill be back on next week. I hope you have a fabulous week/weekend and, as always, Ive got my fingers crossed that at least one of us wins that damned lotto.

You are soooo right... the lack of sleep DOES sneak up on you. Lately, it's the seeing dark shadows moving around and being a bit creeped out. I'm going to the doctor on Monday to get the Ambien. I've decided though, after much thought (and a well-rested weekend) that it's not insomnia that I have. I'm just not a day person and I have to get up at 5:30 AM for my job. I'm tired all day and, no matter how little amount of sleep I get, I always have a second wind at 10:00 PM until about 2:00 AM... not good during the week... but I sleep fine on the weekends. Eh... I'm actually working toward trying to do freelance work, which will hopefully get my life in sync with my natural rhythms.
Anyways... what have you been up to? Hurricane season is in 2 weeks and we already have Tropical Storm Adrian! Are you scared? I am! Really, not much scares me in life, but the hurricanes last year were a beast and I shudder at having to go through all that crap again. Especially alone!
