RARRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, a few of you may recall the airline drama I had a few weeks ago . . . if not, let me recap . . .
I get my little striped butt on a plane so I can fly to West Virginia for a cousin's wedding. I make it to Cincinnati, where my connecting flight is canceled due to an equipment failure. The airline was unable to get me to Charleston in time for the wedding (yes, many alternate scenarios were proposed by me) and I ended up having to come back to Orange County. As a bonus, they state that since I took the flight from OC to Cincinnati they can not refund my money for that portion ($160).
Last week I spent more time than I wished on the phone trying to get my $160 back. Finally, they said I would either get a refund by Friday or they would give me a call to explain why they would be unable to. I received neither.
Today I called to find out why neither happened and it turns out they consider my file closed and will do nothing to compensate me for the lost time and money from the trip. Yes, I got to fly 2/3rds across the country, waste a day, miss my cousins wedding and pay $160 for the luxury.
This is not acceptable . . .
Aside from preparing to write a strongly worded letter about my experience to the airline, I would ask this of all of you - if you are going to be flying in the near future, please opt not to fly Delta.
