OK, I made it to Monday without hiding in my padded room for too long. 
It looks like the closest thing I have to a boss is out of town for the week. This leaves me in charge. I already started a division-wide rubber band fight . . .
I talked with my friend that was in the car accident and it looks like everything is going to be taken care of. She is in one piece, albiet a bit frazzled. (Thanks, Stiles, for hooking her up with Harry, the body-repair god)
As for all the offers of affection and romps in my padded room . . . I am free all week and will even supply the padded leather cuffs!
