Today at lunch I found out about something that is going to be the source of many nightmares in the days to come - The Holy Land Experience. That's right . . . a Christian theme park.

Instead of the animatronic Hall of Presidents . . . it is the translation of the bible from Latin to English.
Instead of shows involving a princess or giant mouse . . . it is a reenactment of the Crucifiction.

No shocker that TBN bailed them out of bankruptcy a couple years ago and is constructing a new recording studio on site.

I think I am going to return to my little yogic lifestyle and pretend I never heard of this. Making wholewheat berry pancakes for the family is about as much of a Sunday ritual as this boy needs.

On a side note, today I was the object of much office harassment due to my lack of wearing green. When it got to the point I couldn't even work I took a moment to explain that St Patrick's day is the celebration of the Christian genocide of the Druids. No one seemed to understand that until I pointed out that it is the modern day equivalent of celebrating the Holocaust. Ugh.

I'm sure she would be down for a visit, as would I, as long as it happened before the new job(s) kick in. I'll ask her about this when she returns. I think she'll be in L.A. for a while next week.
