Turns out I did not go hiking today. I ended up paying some much needed attention to my aquarium instead.
The aquarium activities actually started yesterday when I decided to play with PVC and a gihugic pump I have had sitting around unsed for far too long.
How gihugic a pump you ask? Well, on the order of one gallon per second . . . enough that I now I ZERO pumps inside the aquarium. I am very happy with the result.
Today I added two more fish, six shrimp and twenty crabs. One of the new fish does not get along with my yellow damsel (affectionitely known as 'Yellow Fish'). They have been fighting all day. If they don't sort their shit out by Monday, Yellow Fish is getting a MAJOR time out in the form of being exiled to a significantly smaller aquarium in my office. Granted, with the home aquarium being larger than most bathtubs, most things are significantly smaller.
