So... this is turning out to be a damn good week with minor annoyances that I'm choosing to ignore. Today I went out to dinner with a friend of mine and some work people that I know... and lo and behold! Sisco rep is there... that means free dinner!
Sushi isn't one of my favorite foods, but I get cravings for it. I get cravings for it even more when its FREE! Sisco is trying to sell the company on implementing its servers... so thats about 17.8 million up front for this project alone, and probably another 2 million monthly. Sooo picking up a $600 dollar tab for 10 people isn't bad for them. I had 6 drinks and countless Saki. I actually feel full from sushi too... which means I ate a lot of it.
Tomorow I continue my engineering project of building a Trebuchet! Yes folks, a class asked ME to build a catapult. MUAAA HAAA HAAA! It is only supposed to shoot 18 feet... and ours can do that. HOWEVER, thus far we've been able to shoot it 10 yards! The only troublesome thought is... what kinda trouble am I going to get in one night when I'm sitting around getting drunk with friends. I just get the feeling we're going to reinact the french scene of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Disturbing... yes. Incredibly amusing thought... MORE SO!
"I'll ask ya questions, tell ya lies, criticize, and sympothise. Yeah, be careful what ya wish for, friends! I been through hell... and now i'm back again! But I feel allright! Yeah... I feel allright tonight!" - Roger Clyne

I think a lot of people are starting to feel that way. Which sucks I guess, but we're also in the minority, so from a business perspective, it won't really hurt them to lose us.
Being a SG means less and less. There was a point (when I wanted to be one) when being a SuicideGirl meant that you were hot in an alternative, slightly weird, pierced and tattooed up sort of way that was sort of cute, and sometimes questionable. Not the standard hot. These were real girls with lovehandles, blemishes and personalities. THAT was the subculture that SG used to encompass..
Now, the girls are (for the most part) your standard "hot girl" which basically means thin, tan, average height, and conservatively tattooed (AKA a lil heart on the hip, aw!). Sorry, but that's NOT what I paid for.
And as far as the timeframe, I know for a fact that they're backed up. If you look at <a href="http://suicidegirls.com/girls/Blyss/photos/Roof%20Top%20Rain/" target="_blank">Blyss' newest set</a>, you'll find the photos that were taken in the <a href="http://suicidegirls.com/girls/Blyss/movies/Stompy+Boots/" target="_blank">video</a> she released in August. And who knows how long the video itself sat in queue..
I know that a higher queue can mean more approvals. More approvals cost more money, but more girls mean more subscribers, so they can afford it. I know it's all downhill from here -- bitching isn't going to change anything. It just makes me sad, really.
are you talking about ECE100 or IEE436 (that stupid CAD class)?
we use this online simulator at work if that helps at all:

overall, my condolences
i don't think SG is going downhill...i think it's evolving and saying there's more to being alternative than having a 10" mohawk and dress code stompy boots. it's about attitude, punching boys in the face like they deserve...ripping tags off mattresses like it's yo job. and besides, for all the "cutsey" new girls i've seen added lately....there are just as many "run if you see them in a dark alley" girls...
