I posted this question in the Aging Punks group a while ago, and got some neat responses so I'll ask it again here: What was your very first exposure to punk rock? Mine was at age 11, I saw Fear on SNL, halloween 1980. they got a few chords into Beef Bologna, and the producers cut right to commercial 'cause of the mayhem and slam-dancing. it was totally awesome. From that moment on I needed to learn everything I could about punk, it was the genesis of a lifelong obsession.

(the punk rock episode of CHiPs ruled too. anyone remember that?)
