Since the news really didn't think it was important I will tell you here.
Yesterday the NYSE (and the back up computers) were crashed with 6 minutes left in the last trading day of the month. This hapened when a very large number of erroneous data was sent to the market (think mail bomb type attack) If the NYSE computers can be crashed one must believe that they could bring down our whole infrastructure if motivated.

why yes of course the whole infrastructure could be brought down. In fact the l0pht testified in front of congress about this in the 90s. 20 minutes and some well placed packets *cough*rootdnsservers*cough internet grinds to a halt. Cool of you to post that, I hadn't heard about the nyse thing, thats rather interesting that someone actually went for it.
